Key Responsibilities

ICI is seeking to recruit a dynamic individual to lead the company as its Managing Director. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working in the nexus of sustainability, technology, and investment and, together with the board of directors, will provide strategic direction and leadership to the ICI team and develop new business. She or he will also:

• Manage the company’s finances including budgets, budget forecasts and ensure smooth cashflow for company activities and expenditures.

• Manage company resources including staff and assets and manage key personnel including clients and service providers.

• Manage ongoing projects including a USAID funded plastics challenge program and an emerging electric mobility initiative.

• Report to the Board of Directors on the company's state of affairs quarterly or, upon request of the shareholders at any time.

• Act as a spokesperson for the company, representing it at industry events and in the media.

An ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, with experience in a managerial, business development, project management, and/or other leadership role. Experience working in the area of innovation and development sector is preferred. She or he should demonstrate a keen understanding of emerging trends in sustainability especially in energy, mobility and/or circular economy. Excellent organizational and leadership skills; effective communication, interpersonal and presentation capabilities; solid analytical and problem-solving abilities are key.
